Are we really benefiting from society?
I say no. We're taught to be something we're not, be something fake, be something utterly impossible to be - perfect.
Guess what? Perfection dosen't exist on Earth. Sorry ladies.
Magazines? Edited. Models? Photoshopped. The perfect body? Most girls will develop an eating disorder trying to get it.
Almost everything around us is altered. We're told to be something imagined, told to be exactly like someone else. We're supposed to replicate someone else's definition of ourselves... like robots, and if we don't fit this "perfect picture," we're told we've failed. We feel threatened, pressured, not good enough.
Something has to change for the better. Someone has to speak up, be honest and know the facts and reasons behind every single thing we're told to be.
I have something else to tell you: that girl, that person described could be you. It could be me.
I choose to fight, to do what I feel is right for me and my body at my time, in my life. I will not compromise happiness or health to fit the goal of someone else, that I myself could never accomplish. I will be the best me I can be.
